Hey well I've just finished my Gannt Chart (I'll post it up later) and I've realised how tight this deadline is going to be. So I've decided to crack on with some my logo since it's the only thing I can do from the comfort of my student bedsit.
Anyway I kind of thought that I wouldn't go for the traditional very simple logo idea and instead I'd have a complicated logo with a lot of things on it that represent me, so I started to find a few logos that look good and that suit the style I'm looking for.
What I liked about both of these was the silhouette idea as well as lots of items all popping out of the same location, ie. the Cola bottle.
One thing that interests me about using silhouettes is that they could be made to move giving my logo a bit of a twist. Another idea that I like is how they appear to be very messy, I think this could be quite representative of my personality, I don't consider myself to be an organised person and I have no fascination with time or routine. Therefore I do like the idea of paint splats built up on top of each other which could represent the arty side to me in a much more subtle way to simply adding a silhouette of a paint brush.
Although I have stated that I'd like to make it move, I am yet unsure how to do this, I would really like to try making it 3D and have it spin around maybe bounce, who knows. I also know that logos do work well in 3D from their use before the football game on Sky sports where they spin around, I'd upload a video of it but I can't find one to save the life in me and unfortunately I don't have Sky sports.
So yeah I want to make it move however I might try quickly doing a moving one in Flash, but for the minute I'll concentrate on making it first, I'll post back later with my Gannt chart and the results of the early stages of my logo design.
